The brand new BBC Good Food Show Northern Irelandopens on Friday
Get ready for the very first BBC Good Food Show Northern Ireland, sponsored by Lexus taking place 14 – 16 October 2016 at Belfast Waterfront. The timing for the brand new Show could not be better as 2016 celebrates Northern Ireland Year of Food and Drink which highlights the country’s flourishing food and drink sector. The Show will bring the winning food and entertainment format to the food-loving city of Belfast. This exciting new event will presentsome of the nation’s favourite chefs, alongside the region’s very best producers of food, drink and artisan products.
Visitors can look forward to:
The Supertheatre
The Supertheatre, sponsored by Discover Northern Ireland,will host a range of chefs and celebrities including Paul Hollywood, The Hairy Bikers, John Torode and James Martin. Visitors can watch delicious demonstrations live; take home the recipes in an exclusive Showguide and see the chefs using kitchen appliances supplied by Stoves, kitchenware supplied by Lakeland and a selection of knives supplied by Zwilling.
To celebrate Northern Ireland Year of Food and Drink, visitors can add a free session, sponsored by Lidl, to theirbooking and see local hero Paul Rankin hosting cookery demonstrations with Ian Orr, Danny Millar, Niall McKenna and Danni Barry.
Interview Stage
Visitors have the opportunity to find out more from theircooking heroes and producers on the Interview Stage, sponsored by Moy Park, including their top tips and go-to ingredients. Afterwards, they can get the latest cookbooks signed by their favourites at the Book Shop, sponsored by Easons.
Tasting Theatre
The Tasting Theatre, sponsored by Discover Northern Ireland,is the place to taste and learn about an amazing line up of food and drink producers. Visitors can join a session led by expert host Paula McIntyre and discover different flavours from all around Northern Ireland. From Armagh's cider and breads to Down's Gin and macarons, each session is a treat for the senses.
Shopping
Visitors have the opportunity to browse a great selection ofstands selling top quality food, drink and accessories, from household brands to independent producers. They can try and buy from local producers in the Food NI Pavilion and visit The Producers' Village, a speciality food market packed with small artisan producers who pride themselves on the quality and provenance of their produce.
BBC Good Food Kitchen
The BBC Good Kitchen, sponsored by ABP Food Group, is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing lunch at the Show where visitors can dine on mouth-watering, seasonal dishes inspired by bbcgoodfood.com. The menu features 3 guest dishes which highlight ABP’s well sourced quality beef and lamb.
