It was a chance finding on my travels in the East End of Glasgow-a true gem was unearthed. I would say a fine destination restaurant!!

The owner has over 25 years experience (first restaurant was Mr Turban in Giffnock). He has had this for twelve years and owns a South Indian restaurant in Glasgow which is currently being renovated). The decour is simplistic yet elegant with robust colours, sturdy furniture and tiled floors.

I did not have a starter but had a poppadom and selection of chutneys (mint, red sweet/sour and mango). For main course I had Methi murgh pathani which was 1/2 price (£7) as it was pre theatre.Word of note the red underlined prices on the menu attract a surcharge. They are also 1/2 price and surcharge added on. Unfortunately there were no written signs to this effect, but very good staff on hand to explain!! To accompany I ordered a Keema nan (£5.75).

The Dhabba is a typical roadside diner from the Northern states of India. The owner, chefs and waiters are all bona fide Indians.

Amazing food and very generous portion size but very expensive sundries. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Worth a visit on a special occasion.

Once againe the BFM shares the food love!!! Ciao 4 now!!
