Giants Causeway

As part of our Tour of Thrones NI tour on Sunday,we stopped at the World Famous UNESCO site that is the Giants Causeway. Again beautiful day, lots of people walking to the stones and back. But I still remember when you paid a fiver for car parking and that was it!!! Now it's £9 per adult and £5 per child and if you are National Trust member it's free. 

I totally understand why such a charge is levied. The visitors centre is an amazing architectural wonder with great displays inside, a shop and a coffee shop. In all fairness the charge incorporates entry to the centre,free audio guide and access to the Stones (which is free anyway).

I would respectfully suggest to the powers that be that the pricing structure needs to be reduced. I did see many people leave when they saw the charges.  However people will come, last year well over 700,000 people visited from over 100 countries. So keep up the good work and I do urge everyone to visit this site. Ps Game Of Thrones was not filmed here!!!
