We decided to treat ourselves for some fine Mexican food. We eventually decided on
Chiquito

Now for anyone not familiar with Chiquito, it is the very big and round building at the top of the big shopping centre in Belfast.
We were very warmly welcomed and seated and introduced to the two managers John (Vancouver and Ottawa) and Marcos (started March 2015). Also we met Ryan out server.
I have been to Chiquito several times and have always been impressed. John had said that this 70plus restaurant group really has upped its game (ie all salads freshly made-the guacamole is to die for!!)
We started with popcorn nibbles as we peroused the menus. To drink My good lady had a Mojito mock tail (£3.65) whilst I had Sparkling water (£2.45). For our starters we ordered two dishes and shared, being Chipotle crayfish soft taco and Halloumi mushrooms, both £5 each from the special menu. This really was the tastiest Halloumi dish I have had. The taco dish tasted great but bit hard.
For mains we shared King prawn fajita (£15.95) and Chicken chimichanga (£12.25) with a side of rice (£3.25).Again absolutely beautiful dishes, well presented and extremely tasty. I really enjoyed the fresh guacamole and very spicy habanero sauce. The portion size is very big so be warned!!!
We still had enough room to share a Hot chocolate and churros (£4.25). This was the perfect way to finish off an amazing meal. The staff were fantastic, attentive and very knowledgeable. We were both surprised it was not busier, but hey it was Easter Saturday. This really has climbed in my estimation.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank David,John,Marcos and Ryan.
