Snails and planes

yep you read it right! I want to talk about two topics very loosely related by France-snails which the French are known to eat(escargots) and the air traffic control strikes in France.

Snails are starting to grow very popular here in the UK and Helen the first Snail Sommelier (expert in their field) in snails was sharing the finer points. Firstly she works for a chain called Cafe Rouge, so we are going mainstream High Street here!!!! Helen explained that snails should be slow cooked with ideally garlic and butter until it has a texture like cooked mushrooms. You can go fairly free by using truffle oil. I must say when I had them in Paris they were the real deal with plenty of garlic and butter mmmmm!!!!

Flights or the lack of them due to the Air Traffic Controllers in France this week have also been controversial and I believe there are more next week!!!! What are ones rights (talking EU)? Firstly the airline
Must either offer a full refund or rearrange your flights. You should not be asked for any money at this stage BUT the airlines know that they DONT have to pay any compensation (so one is properly stitched up), secondly they have to provide you with accommodation, food, soft drinks and phone calls home.

This is dependent on delays however if you miss onward connections or reservations or functions they are supposed to help immediately. In my experience they fall well short!!!!!!
