Great lunch at Horatio Todds

Took my uncle, aunt and wife for lunch today on a glorious, but nippy, Saturday afternoon. It was destination Newtownards Road in the happening East Belfast. We had a choice of 8 restaurants all within a stones throw of each other, but Horatio Todds was the unanimous choice.

We ordered 4 starters to share being French onion soup, tiger prawn samosa in filo pastry, smoked potted mackerel and mozzarella grilled ciabatta.

For mains we had macaroni cheese, fish and chunky chips,Louisiana king prawn sandwich and chicken Parmesan. The food was amazing and service exceptional. Scores on doors displayed well, place had a nice buzz and was clean and tidy. We all loved the decour and ambience. The food quality was great and the portion sizes are big so beware.

A couple of points I would like to see would be food (Louisiana sandwich) served not on a wooden board, but a round plate and also more info on allergies displayed.

I would thoroughly recommend it,especially when it warms up a bit more and you can use the beer garden!!
